The Florida Fire Juniors would like to invite all athletes 9th grade and above to our Annual College Recruiting Seminar hosted this year by coach Steve Sawyer, Former Assistant Coach at Villanova University. The seminar will take place on Sunday, September 28thfrom 7:00 – 8:30 pm at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, 2600 Tiburon Drive, Naples FL 34109.
 
As always this will be an informational piece on the process of getting yourself familiar with the college recruiting process, along with time for questions and  answers for coach Sawyer.

Great turnout at the Annual Club Picnic even with a little bit of rain! Coaches vs Parents game was a battle again this year with the coaches coming from behind to tie the match 2-2 while both sides missed chances late on to win the match. Thank you again to all the families that attended and all the best to each of your teams this season!

The Florida Fire Juniors promote Dave Anderson as
Technical Director for the Club

The Florida Fire Juniors have promoted Dave Anderson as the technical director for the club.  Dave will work closely with DOC Paul Williams to continue to further develop the curriculum that the Florida Fire Juniors coaches and players will be utilizing this season.  Dave will also work closely with the Florida Fire Juniors coaches on a daily basis.
 
“I am excited about my new position in the club.  I look forward to working closely with Paul and the coaches to help with the development of our coaches in all aspects of the game. It will allow me to work with all Fire players throughout the program and hopefully aid in their development from our academy level players to our U18's. Special thanks to Paul Williams, Paul Kindred, Rob Anderson and the BOD for giving me this great opportunity’. – Dave Anderson

FLORIDA FIRE JUNIORS ANNOUNCE PRE-ACADEMY FOR WINTER/SPRING 2014

The Florida Fire Juniors is the official youth club affiliate of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club.
 
The Florida Fire Juniors are pleased to announce the launch of our new Pre-Academy program for the 2014 Winter/Spring Season. The Pre-Academy is a program administered by Florida Fire Juniors (FFJ) for athletes 7 to 10 year old who have participated in recreational programs and are looking to make the transition to the next level of soccer. The program provides a bridge from recreational soccer to competitive soccer training and US Youth Soccer recommended game play. Players will be exposed to a new and innovative approach to individual player training, giving them the necessary skills to make a transition to the Florida Fire Juniors Academy program. The PRE-ACADEMY Winter/Spring Season will run from early January 2014 until late April 2014. All games will be local through the Collier County Parks and Recreation Leagues with minimal travel to SWFL Tournaments and Jamborees against other area programs.
